Edmund Faber, 1st Baron Faber

Edmund Beckett Faber, 1st Baron Faber (9 February 1847 – 17 September 1920) was a British Conservative politician.

Background

Faber was the eldest son of Charles Wilson Faber and Mary Beckett.

Political career

Faber was Member of Parliament for Andover between a by-election in 1901 and the dissolution in 1905. On 29 December 1905 he was raised to the peerage as Baron Faber, of Butterwick in the County of Lincoln.[1]

Personal life

Faber died in Marylebone, London, on 17 September 1920, aged 73, and is buried there in Brompton Cemetery. The barony became extinct.
